2. Technology process of cotton seed press machinery :
? Dehulling process
Cleaned cottonseeds are crushed into 1/4-1/6 pieces in the toothed roll decorticator (two pair). Then oilseeds are squeezed strongly by the relative rotation of the two fluted rollers with different linear velocity when the sheller operating. Moreover, the alveolus can split and cut the hulls of oilseeds. Thus the
dehulling effect will be achieved.
? Kernel husk separation
The product of cottonseeds after husking is a kind of mixture, which includes complete oilseeds, kernel and husk. And the mixture must be seperated. Kernel and husk are separated by the combined adoption of cottonseeds kernel husk separator and double drum hull beater. After husking cottonseeds enter into kernel husk separator, under the beating of the hull beater, cottonseeds enter into rotary vibrating separator to remove the husk in kernel again. And the upper hull enters into the double drum hull beater, seperating the cottonseeds kernel in hull, to ensure that the rate of kernel in hull is less than 0.5%.
? Kernel and hull adjustment
The separated cottonseeds kernel are conveyed into the kernel and hull adjustment screen through the conveyer scraper, because the higher hull content in the kernel is, the lower protein content in the finished cotton meal is. Due to the need of cotton meal with different protein content in the market, the process is mainly to adjust the hull content in cottonseeds kernel and process cotton meal with different protein content.
? Flaking
The main purpose of flaking is to destroy cell wall within cottonseed kernel so that oil within cottonseed kernel can be extracted out.After the process of flaking,the thickness of material will be reduced and its surfacearea will be increased,which are in favor of moisture penetration and heattransfer towards the inside of particle in the cooking process.
? Cooking
After wetting, heating, steaming, frying and other processing, the raw embryos come up complicated physical chemistry change in its interior and become mature embryos. Thus creating a better condition to extract the oil, the heat treatment process is called cooking.
Cooking can accelerate the rupture of the color glands. The higher the moisture of embryos is, the more thorough the destruction of the color glands will be, and the free gossypol can spill out easily. As the cooking and frying temperature rises, a large number of free gossypol can bind with proteins. If there is a shortage of water when cooking, the produced combined gossypol may become denatured gossypol and dissolve in oil. If high moisture cooking is adopted, the phospholipids absorb water firstly and then condensed.
? Pressing process
Embryos after cooking are called cooked flakes,crude oil containing slagsfrom presser is pressed into oil settling tank through oil scraper blade,after the slag is removed,the crude oil is sent into oil filter tank,and then it is sent into horizontal screw centrifuge for purification.Pre-pressed cakefrom oil presser is conveyed into extraction plant by cake collectingscraper and cake scraper, and then enters into the following process.
